If you’re under 19 in 2026, these money-saving tips are especially important to keep in mind. I want you to learn from these tips, just as I learned how to save money at a young age.
Automate Your Monthly Savings

It’s absolutely true: whenever you have money in your hand or in your bank account, you somehow end up spending it.
To achieve that, you’ll need to save money and invest it wisely.
Whenever your salary comes in each month, consider putting some of it into a separate bank account. That way, you can set aside part of your salary for savings and keep the rest available for your everyday expenses
By doing this, you don’t spend your entire salary. Instead, you automatically save a portion of it, and you can use whatever is left for your everyday expenses. It’s all fully automated.
Don’t withdraw a single penny from your savings. Whatever you’ve set aside for expenses, you have to make it last the entire month.
Money-Saving Discipline
This is one of my personal tips, and it helps me save a good amount of money every month. See, as soon as you get your salary, discipline yourself not to spend money unnecessarily for the first two days of each month. This tip will be especially useful for students or those who have just landed a new job and received their first month’s salary.
Use Credit Cards Wisely

Look, this is one of the biggest mistakes young people make: when they want to buy something they love but don’t have the money, they often use a credit card to pay for it. I don’t think that’s a good idea. If necessary, you could work hard for another two months and then buy it—but don’t take out a loan.
Why buy something you’re passionate about right away, only to lose interest in it a month later and regret buying it?
I think the more I stay away from credit cards, the more money I can save and invest wisely, bringing me closer to my goal of becoming a millionaire.
Once you become a millionaire, you’ll see that many of your hobbies and dreams can come true.
Make a Shopping List
When you go shopping, always make a shopping list. Making a list will help you stay disciplined. You’ll find that you’re less likely to buy things you don’t really need, and the money you would have wasted on unnecessary purchases will stay in your pocket. Even when you shop online, it’s still a good idea to make a shopping list and only buy what’s on that list before you check out.
Don’t waste your money.
21-Day Rule

Are you going to buy something big right now? If so, should you wait 21 days?
When the 21 days are up, ask yourself whether the thing you wanted to buy is still really necessary or urgent.
Then you’ll realize that you didn’t need it as much as you thought you did when you first wanted to buy it.
I personally use this tip, and it has helped me a lot in many situations. It has saved me a lot of money. If you read the entire blog and learn something useful, be sure to let me know in the comments.
Consider Renting Instead of Buying

There are all kinds of people who, as soon as they see something, want to buy it, even if they don’t really need it or don’t know how to use it properly. If they’re that eager to buy something or simply like it, they can rent it for a few days and try it out. Nowadays, you can rent just about anything. Everything from expensive clothes and designer bags to shoes, cars, and even houses can be rented. So why not rent instead? Why waste your money on something you may not even need?
I’ve seen many wealthy people waste a lot of money buying unnecessary things, only to end up working in someone else’s shop or factory. I’ve witnessed this firsthand. That’s why I’m sharing this with you today.
The Benefits of Buying Insurance Early

When you’re young, say around twenty years old, your body is generally healthier, your chances of being hospitalized are much lower, and your risk of dying is significantly lower. That’s why life insurance can cost you far less at that age for the same coverage. As you get older, you’ll likely see your insurance premiums increase significantly.
Grow Your Income

If you’re currently middle-class, your first goal should be to keep these 8 points firmly in mind. Your next goal should be to think about how you can increase your income. The more you earn, the more you can potentially save. But remember, saving money alone shouldn’t be your lifelong goal—you should also focus on increasing your income. I’ll regularly share different ways to earn more money and provide useful business ideas through my blog. Read the posts carefully, learn from them, and start taking small steps. There’s no harm in starting. The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll be on the path to financial success.
My Advice
I shared my personal experience with you today. If you find these 8 points useful, be sure to put them into practice—because if you don’t, you won’t see any results. You’ll need to put in some hard work, develop self-discipline, and write down a schedule in a notebook outlining when and how you’ll complete each task.
Write down when you should and shouldn’t spend money, and keep track of your progress. Over time, you’ll see things start to fall into place. Even if you tend to overspend, you’ll gradually find that you’re able to get your spending under control.
At the same time, always keep thinking about how you can increase your income. Work hard, save money, and use those savings to invest in your business.
